Summers first day on her adventure was today!!!

She is in Munich Germany right now!!! She left on on Saturday and flew to Salt Lake. They left Salt Lake Monday morning and flew to Denver and had a two hour layover. They then flew to Pittsburgh and from there to Germany. She emailed me at 220 am Oregon time to let me know she had arrived. She will be in Munich tomorrow as well. She said she has learned a few words and feels like she is still on a plane. Hopefully that will subside with some sleep:)

When i have more time ill go more into detail but to get around we have to take the subway train and to get on and off its very fast paste so it will take some getting use to!! I have had about 4 or 5 hours of sleep and im about to go get some more so ill email you again in the morning before we leave and go to our new hotel (home) :) i love you so much goodnigh or afternoon or evening whatever it is there :) i have had this feeling that im still on the plane since about 5 o clock this sim its really weird and kinda annoying so im hoping a good nights rest will help get rid of that ive also learned 2 words and ill tell you them and what they mean next time we talk love you :)

  12. EMAIL FROM LISA (SUMMER'S AUNT LISA:)

Funny twin thing -- Matt and Mike bought tickets separately leaving at very different times with very different routes ... but they both were supposed to end up with the same flight from Paris to Munich. Mike is now here, yay! He only had to pay a 250 dollar change fee, which is a whole lot better than a new ticket. We had a fun day yesterday ... toured a giant palace and the girls were so enthusiastic and in awe of everything like I'd hoped they'd be. Zoey took one hundred pictures in the Treasury alone, fortunately she's fast and doesn't dawdle. Fun. Then we went to BMW world and you could actually sit in really cool sports cars and get your picture taken (Picture Summer driving a convertible!!!) and went up a giant tower with great city views. Really fun. We wanted dinner about 8:30 but all grocery stores and cafes were closed, so on Day 2, Summer learned the wonders of McDonalds in Europe!!! We get the car today and go to the Bavarian Hollywood to watch a one-hour stunt show. Cool, huh!!! Vonicia got a nice new suitcase and Summer hesitantly learned how to drain her own blister. She's a trooper!

  15. Well.....staying in Youth Hostels is not like staying in normal businessmen motels where there are convenient things like internet available. Youth hostels are mainly rooms with a bed and a bath, or the bath may be down the hall! Very few, if any amenities! A number of them are run by nuns: clean, sparse, quiet.

  16. We are waiting patiently to hear from her. Hopefully, she is concentrating on having a great time. Thanks for the updates though Heather. Keep them coming. Wow, my anxiety / dyslexia kicked in when I read Lori's comment. I thought she said that the hostels are often run by nuts - Whew!!

  17. You are so funny Mom!!! I hope she isn't staying in places run by nuts:) Thanks Lori for the information.Didn't hear from her today so that's probably why.
